With the establishment of the new more-restrictive ordinance the Village provided three &reas for snowmobiling by the public. These were: 1. Edenvale Golf Course 2. Round Lake Park North of the Westerly extention of Valley View Road. . 3. Birch Island Park To snowmobile on these areas, residents of Eden Prairie could purchase a sticker for $1.00 per machine. A total of 105 stickers were sold during the year. The Golf Course has been closed to snowmobiles for this year because of the warm temperatures and lack of snow. A copy of the new Eden Prairie Snowmobile Ordinance was mailed to all l residents of the Village. The two local Snowmobile Clubs each con- tributed $25.00 to pay for the postage to mail out the ordinance. During the snowmobile season two sessions of Snowmobile Safety Classes were held. A total of 80 people took the class and I hope we'll find that this community education venture will pay dividends in the future by giving us safer law-abiding, more courteous snowmobilers.
