Planning Commission - 12/17/1968 • EDEN PRAIRIE PLANNING COMMISSION
Tuesday - December 17, 1968 Village Hall
Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Ralph Nesbitt.
Present were: Chairman Ralph Nesbitt; Members, Henry Hauser, Warren
Shultz, Odmor Skjelbostad, Homer Raguet, Vernon Emerson; George Hite,
Village Manager, and Donald Brauer, Planning Consultant.
I. VILLAGE OF CHANHASSEN - MEETING ON PROPOSED REZONING ON SOUTH SIDE OF
T. H. 05.
Mr. Hite and Mr. Nesbitt reported on the action taken by the Chanhassen
Council at their December 16, 1968 meeting in regard to the hearing on
the rezoning of 80 acres south of T. H. ##5 adjacent to Eden Prairie.
They stated that the land has been zoned despite our objections but
that officials of Chanhassen had stated subsequent to the hearing that
Chanhassen would work closely with Eden Prairie in the development of
land so that Eden Prairie interests would be given as much consideration
as possible.
II. PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE
An outline of the proposed zoning was presented to the Board by Mr. Brauer.
• Motion was made by Vernon Emerson, seconded by Homer Raguet to have the
proposed zoning ordinance put into final form for approval on January 7,
1969. The motion carried.
III. COUNTY ROAD NO. 1
Mr. Jim Boyce questioned the Commission about the proposal re-routing
and expansion of County Road fl, from County Road ##4 to T. H. 169. It
was explained that although the change was shown on the Comprehensive
Guide Plan, the actual change was several years in the future and would
require contact with State and County officials before the change
could be accomplished. Hearings with adjacent property owners would also
be held at that time.
Motion was made by Henry Hauser, seconded by Vernon Emerson to adjourn
at 9:30 P.M.
