SALLY FISTIER SHAPER
Request for special use permit for addition to residence to
house dogs.
There was much discussion on this matter. The Village attor-
ney advised that the building inspector could issue permit for ad-
dition if it met building standards. As our Ordinances do not de-
fine a kennel other than stating a kennel requires a special use
permit. The point of contention was whether this was or T•ras not a
kennel operation. Mr. Dale requested a short recess and the Board
adjourned to the lower level where Dr. 7Tright stated that the party
was what was known in the trade as a "groomer" and had operated com-
mercially in the past in Edina. After further discussion with Mr.
Branstetter as to the use for the property they withdrew the applica-
tion for a special use permit and will request a regular building per-
mit for an addition to a residence.
