The Zoning 2c Planning Commission met in the Eden Prairie Vil-
lage Hall on August 17, 1965, at 8 o'clock.
Present were:

MINUTES
Motion made by Anthony R. Hirt and seconded by David W.
Dale to approve the minutes of August 3, 1965, as published.
With the following corrections: Show David 1.1. Dale as ab-
stainining on Bob Olson.
Motion carried.
14ITCHELL TOBIAS
Request for golf driving range on Calvin Anderson property.
Motion made by Anthony R. Hirt and seconded by David W.
Dale to accept`a study by Mr. Wood regarding highway and drain-
age right of way.
Motion carried.
CORRECTION OF ZONrdG
Motion made by David W. Dale and seconded by Anthony R.
Hirt to hold a hearing for rezoning to correct errors in zon-
ing on September 7, 1965.
Motion carried.
SPECIAL I-1EETING
I-lotion made by David W. Dale and seconded by Ralph J.
Nesbitt to hold the regular meeting of September 7, 1965, from
7 o'clock to 9 o'clock and ask the Council to come in at 9 o'
clock for a special joint meeting.

PLANMSMG
i Mr. Hirt brought up the subject and much discussion was
held on the creation of a separate planning commission to do
long range planning and special planning and not be hindered
by the day to day requirements of the Zoning Board. The com-
munity has the talent and the group could be large enough and
broad enough that it could work in committees and as a group
because it Mould be a planning group only it could vary its
- :� meetings to suit the availability of its members. The present
Zoning Rr Planning Board should be prepared to make recommend-
ations on this at the September 7, 1965, meeting.
