Planning Commission - 12/01/1964 December 1, 1964 The Zoning & Planning Commission met on December 1, 1964 in the Village Hall at 8 o'clock p. m. Present were: A. W. Miller, Chairman David W. Dale Anthony Hirt James C. Brown, Clerk Albert Picha James Hawkes Ralph Nesbitt Archie Carter Dr. J. Wright ORDER OF BUSINESS: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Miller. MINUTES . The minutes of November 4, 1964 were read and approved as read. HIGHWAY 169 Mr. Hawkes reported this was still in the early study stage by the Engineer and himself. A motion was made by Anthony Hirt to table until the January meeting. Motion carried. NORTHERN STATES POWER CO. - PER14IT The report from Mr. Hawkes was presented and made a part of this record. Mr. Hawkes commented on his report. Nothern States Power did not agree with the report. There were questions and comments from the floor and the Zoning and. Planning Commission pro and con. A motion was made by Anthony Hirt to recommend disapproval with no prejudice to it for further consideration. The motion died for lack of a second. A motion was made by Ralph Nesbitt and seconded by David Dale to recommend approval of present alignment to Council. There were 4 ayes and 2 nayes by Arthur Miller and Anthony Hirt and 1 abstain by James Brown. Motion carried. MRS. JOHN RAGUET - PRELIMINARY PLAT The preliminary plat was not processed far enough for presentation to the Zoning & Planning Commission. The Engineer and Planner are to do further work on this. w w December 1, 1964 (Page 2) ` GEBCO BUILDERS - SPECIAL USE PERMIT Mr. Orlan Narr representing Gebco Builders requested special use W permits for building homes on 2 lots on the west end of Starring Lake and CL_ east of Research Road. o:5 A motion was made by David Dale and seconded by Albert Picha to require D the leaps and bounds diagrams show meander line of lake,, 2 foot contour C' intervals and soil tests furnished befdre further action can be taken. 0 0 Motion carried. MR.22" A request to leap and bound a one acre plus lot on the Uherka property on Rowland Road for a one famil residence was made by Mr. Lam. CHARLES PHILLIPS PROPERTY Mr. Phillips came in with a purchaser for the back of his property. As • there was no access to a public road he was advised that no building permit would be issued. He was advised to get the road straightened out and then come back. THOdSON & SCROGGINS - FINAL PLAT { � A motion was made by Dr. Wright and seconded by Ralph Nesbitt to recommend approval and authorize the Chairman and Clerk to sign. Motion carried. Carter representing Herb Mason and himself requested rezoning from LLJ RA to M-2 on this property. rn W A motion was made by Dr. Wright and seconded by Albert Picha to hold a 0- hearing on January 5, 1965. 6 Motion carried. L� ORDINANCE NO. 8 - DELETION 0 0 A motion was made by Anthony Hirt and seconded by Dr. Wright to recommend G3 removing the following words from Ordinance No. 8, Section 5 to the Council: "Or along a permanent unobstructed easement of access to the lot from a public street as approved by the zoning.administrator as adequate for the purpose".
