Planning Commission - 07/07/1964 July 7, 1964 The Zoning & Planning Commission met in room 308 in the Eden Prairie High School on July 7, 1964 at 8 o'clock p. m. =' Present were: f+a H ' A. W. Miller, Chairman David W. Dale Anthony Hirt, Acting Clerk Dr. John H. Wright Albert Picha Ralph Nesbitt ORDER OF BUSINESS: 1_T MINUTES T,; a. The minutes of the June 2, meeting were read, a motion was made by David W. Dale and seconded by Anthony Hirt to approve as read. IJ Motion carried. 11C, b. The minutes of the June 13th meeting were read, a motion was made by C� David W. Dale and seconded by Albert Picha to approve as read. Cl Motion carried. HENRY VORWERK - PADON DOWN'S • Henry Vorwerk appeared to request a deviation on side yard requirement for a garage on Lot 6 Block 1, Padon Down's First Addition. A motion was made by Anthony Hirt and seconded by David Dale to table at this time until Mr. Carter is present to express an opinion on side yard for traffic sight interference. Motion carried. Mr. Carter arrived and after discussion of Mr. Vorwerk's request for side yard deviation on corner lot a motion was made by Ralph Nesbitt and seconded by Dr. Wright to have Mr. Vorwerk present alternate garage plans. The feeling of the Commission was that the location would create a traffic sight hazard. Motion carried. PEARSON PROPERTY - PRELIMINARY PLAT r.T Mr. Schultz, representing Leonard Nelson, Surveyor and Mr. Pearson appeared in regard to preliminary plat of Pearson's First Addition. The plat was presented, matter was tabled, waiting for arrival of Mr. Carter. Mr. Pearson's preliminary plat was received, a motion was made by Anthony Hirt and seconded by Albert Picha to receive preliminary plat for r r`; study by Mr. Carter. It was the feeling of the Commission that based on the Council minutes of June 9th, 1964, there is a question whether the land has been rezoned to 1/2 acre. Q- :�x Motion carried. ( 1 July 7, 1964 (Page 2) HENRY SCHUTROP PROPERTY -_REZONING Bob Morehouse presented a request for rezoning the Henry Schutrop property into R2, C2 and Sl as per layout and legal description. This property is south of Highway #5 and east of County Road #4. A motion was made by Dr. Wright and seconded by Albert Picha to accept application for publication and check for $85.00. Motion carried. KUCERA PROPERTY - HEARING REQUEST A request was made by Bob Morehouse representing the Kucera Estate for a hearing rezoning this property from RA to Rl as published in the Hennepin County Review dated June 18, 1964. A motion was made by Anthony Hirt and seconded by David Dale to recommend to the Council the rezoning as requested. Motion carried. CLIFF HENRY - EDEN BROOK CIRCLE Discussion was held on roadways, road width, access etc. Also Mr. Carter is to check with Mr. Perbix on whether rezoning is required especially in reference to those proposed lots which are in whole or in • part in P.O.C. A motion was made by David Dale and seconded by Albert Picha to re- ceive Eden Brook Circle plan for study. Motion carried. MR. RODERICK - HILLCREST COURTS - 2ND Soil absorption tests as made by Regional Eng. Services were given to the Commission by Mr. Carter. A copy of the report is to be furnished to the Clerk for record purposes. A motion was made by Dr. Wright and seconded by Ralph Nesbitt to re- ceive Mr. Rodericks application for rezoning from POC to R1 with a check for $85.00- Motion carried. LOCH EDEN A motion was made by Albert Picha and seconded by Ralph Nesbitt to authorize the Chairman and Clerk to sign the final plat of Thomas & Scroggins Loch Eden plat. Motion carried.
