Planning Commission - 06/02/1964 June 2, 1964
The Zoning & Planning Commission met in room 308 in the Eden Prairie
High School on June 2, 1964 at 8 o*clock p. m.
Present were:
A. W. Miller, Chairman James C. Brown, Clerk
Anthony Hirt Archie Carter, Engineer
Albert Picha Dr. John H. Wright
ORDER OF BUSINESS:
MINUTES

A motion was made by Anthony Hirt and seconded by Albert Picha to approve
the minutes of the May 5, 1964 meeting as read by Clerk Brown.
Motion carried.
EARL SMITH
4:
There was no action to report on the request to move the building on a
temporary permit in the minutes of May 5, 1964.
O HENRY SCHUTROP PROPERTY
M� Bob Morehouse and Henry Schutrop appeared before the Zoning & Planning
Commission regarding rezoning of Henry Schutrop•s property south of Highway 5
and east of County Road 4.
After discussion with the Commission and the fact that they wanted 3 types
of zoning, a motion was made by Anthony Hirt and seconded by James Brown to table
the request until the description of the areas involved is properly spelled out
with the zoning requested.
Motion carried.
WM. R. & ANNA KUCHERA ESTATE
Bob Morehouse acting as an agent for this estate presented a request to
rezone from RA to Rl. A check for $80.00 and cash for $5.00 accompanied the
application.
A motion was made by Albert Picha and seconded by Anthony Hirt to accept
the application and hold a hearing on July 7, 1964.
Motion carried.

ELAYNE HILLS - PRELIMINARY PLAT
Don Coulter representing Mr. Hussman appeared with the preliminary plat
for Elayne Hills.
A motion was made by Anthony Hirt and seconded by Dr. Wright to recommend
approval subject to a request for an opinion from Attorney Perbix as to how the
present Research Road can be updated to local traffic standards, the cost to be
assessed to the adjoining property owners. This is based on the feeling of the
Zoning & Planning Commission that the proposed upper road would be the through
street.
Motion carried.
BELLHURST 2ND ADDITION - DON KRAL
There was discussion on the roads in the Bellhurst area and as Mr. Kral is
paving additional land in the area it was agreed to do further study on these
roads by Mr. Kral's Engineer in line with both through and local traffic roads
to serve the area.
JANKE•S ADDITION
• No one appeared before the Commission, no action taken on this matter.
LOCH EDEN - REESE, THOMPSON, SCROGGINS
Final plat could not be approved because of pending request by Watershed
District for large easements and until this is finalized and lots checked for
building area no action could be taken.
A. R. HIRT - BIRCH ISLAND ACRES
Mr. Hirt appeared with final on Registered Land Survey # to change lot
lines in Birch Island Acres on 3 lots owned by Mr. Hirt.
A motion was made by Dr. Wright and seconded by Albert Picha to recommend
approval to the Village Council.
Motion carried.
