Planning Commission - 10/01/1963 October 1, 1963 The Eden Prairie Zoning & Planning Commission met in room 308 of the Eden Prairie High School October 1, 1963 at 8 o'clock p. m. Present were: A. W. Miller, Chairman Tony Hirt Dr. John H. Wright Ralph Nesbitt F. G. Holasek Al Bruce Albert Picha Elmer E. Clark, Clerk ORDER OF BUSINESS: w 01 ELLIOT � It a motion was duly made and seconded that the Zoning & Planning Commission � ! recommend to the Village Council that Don Elliot be granted permission to proceed with the platting of his property on State Highway #5 and Interstate #494 east of the junction of Highway #169 and #5• Motion carried. V3 SCHULTZ & JAMES PROPERTY A motion was duly made and seconded that the Zoning & Planning Commission recommend to the Village Council the approval of the re-zoning of the Schultz =r and James property which was inadvertantly omitted in the last re-zoning of � the property which is fully described on the application for re-zoning. Motion carried. JARRETT A motion was duly made and seconded that the drainage problem between Mr. Lorman Jarrett and the Emmanuel Luthern Church be referred to the Village Council recommending that the Council. have Engineer Carter investigate the problem as it exists so that a satisfactory settlement can be made. Motion carried. WM. RIEGERT A motion was duly made and seconded that the Zoning & Planning Commission recommend the rejection of the application of Mr. Wm. Riegert for the re-zoning of his property on the corner of County Road #4 and Jarrett Road from RA district to C1 district. Mr. Riegert's property being used as a community grocery under a special use permit, Mr. Riegert was advised to continue under his present c} agreement. The land involved is only 1 1/2 acres. Motion carried. October 1, 1963 (Page 2) OVERMAN A motion was duly made and seconded that the Zoning & Planning Comm- ission accept the application of Mr. Overman and recommend same to the Village Council for their consideration, property described as that part of the S 1/2 of the W 40 rods of Gov. Lot 4, Sec. 5, T116, R22. The plat is attached to the clerk's minutes showing division of property to 1/2 acres. A check for $85.00 was received. Motion carried. NORDQUIST CO. A motion was duly made and seconded thatthe Nordquist Co. be granted permission to recover a sign on Mel Larson's property on Highway +169 on condition that if any complaints from the public in regard to lighting shall be corrected at the expense of the Nordquist Co. The sign is to advertise Howard Johnson Motels. Motion carried. KOSTECKA A motion was duly made and seconded that Mr. Kostecka's addition to the original plat be referred to Engineer Carter for his advice at the next meeting, the first Tuesday in November. . Motion carried., KOCOUREK A motion was duly made and seconded that on recommendation of Mr. Shattuck the Zoning & Planning Commission recommends the roll back of zoning on Mr. Kocourek's property as shown on diagram on file in the clerk's minutes, be granted by Village Council. Mr. Kocourek is to be re-imbursed for $42.50 on account of his agreeing to this change. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned. Elmer E. Clark
