Planning Commission - 09/03/1963 September 3, 1963
The Zoning & Planning Commission met in room 308 in the Eden Prairie
High School September 3, 1963 at 8 o'clock P. M.
Present were:
A. W. Miller, Chairman Ralph Nesbitt
Tony Hirt Dr. John H. Wright

Henry Schutrop Eimer E. Clark, Clerk
Archie Carter, Engineer
ORDER OF BUSINESS:
Chairman, Miller opened the meeting and the clerk read the minutes and
they were approved as read.
SEMRAD
A motion was duly made and seconded that the Zoning & Planning Commission
recommend the approval of the petition of Joe Semrad to the Village Council for
re-zoning from Distrist RA, Residential Agriculture to Rl, Residential in
Kings Court 2nd Addition as per notice published for this meeting.
Motion carried.
A motion was duly made and seconded that the plat of Joe Semrad be referred
to Engineer, Carter for checking of drainage and streets and have this report
for the Village Council meeting of September loth.
Motion carried.
ELLIOTT
The Elliott plat which consitts of a few lots on State Highway #5 and #494
east of the junction of #5 and #169, a triangular piece of property, was dis-
cussed at length as to the advisibility of re-zoning. It was decided to table
the matter until legal advice could be obtained from Attorney, Perbix. Mr. Miller
is to consult with Attorney, Perbix.
JANKE
A motion was duly made and seconded that the preliminary plat known as
1st Addition located on County Road #18 and Lake View Road be recommended to the
Village Council for approval. The Zoning & Planning Commission and Mr. Carter
have investigated the property.
Motion carried.
GRAVEL PIT INSPECTION
Village Engineer, Carter was instructed to make a thorough check of B & R
Rock Products, Sdwal, and(ibodrich gravel pits and give a report at next regular
meeting.

PAVED STREETS IN M2DISTRICT ; COUNTY ROAD f67
Eugene Riley and Mr. Gardner appeared in regard to paved streets in M2
District on County Road #67 and C. M. & St. Paul and M. & St. L. RR tracks.
The matter was tabled until legal advice can be obtained in regard to power of
Village Council in matters of this kind. Mr. Miller was asked to consult with
Attorney, Perbix.

SKELLY OIL CO.
0: A motion was duly made by Tony Hirt and seconded by Henry Schutrop that
Q the Zoning & Planning Commission recommend the granting of a special use permit
to the Skelly Oil Co. based on plans submitted in which Engineer, Carter will
`f' make notes of desired changes requested by the Commission. Driveways are to
have the approval of State Highway Department. A meeting with the State Highway
Department is set for September 18, 1963.
Motion carried.
