Planning Commission - 06/04/1963 June 4, 1963 The Eden Prairie Zoning Commission met in room 308 in the Eden Prairie High School on June 4, 1963 at 8 o'clock P. M. Present were: A. W. Miller, Chairman Albert Picha F. G. Holasek Ralph Nesbitt Al Bruce Dr. John H. Wright Tony Hirt Elmer E. Clark, Clerk ORDER OF BUSINESS: KOCOUREK 1. A motion was duly made by Al Bruce and seconded by Tony Hirt that the application of Mr. Kocourek for the re-zoning of his property in Sec. 8, T 116, R 22, Reg. Land Survey #714 requesting a change from RA to M2 be denied. 2. A motion was duly made and seconded that providing it is acceptable to Mr. Kocourek the board recommends that the M2 district on both sides of the rail- way tracks be rolled back a distance to be determined at a future date. Mr. Kocourek being satisfied with this agreement asked for a rebate of one-half of advertising fee and it was granted. Motion carried. s SHIDLA A motion was duly made and seconded that the Zoning Board table the appli- cation of Jim Shidla for re-zoning on account of his absence at this meeting. Motion carried. TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR A motion was duly made and seconded that the typographical error in adver- tisement be corrected from RA to Ml rather than RC to Ml. Motion carried. WOODWARD A motion was duly made by Al Bruce and seconded by Tony Hirt that Mr. Woodward's application for re-zoning of his 19 acres on State Highway #5 and #494 from R1 to Ml be denied. Fifteen persons living in Bloomington appear- ed in opposition to the re-zoning. Mr. Blacklock and Mrs. Woodward from Eden Prairie were there also. Motion carried. June 4, 1963 (Page 2) GARRISON A motion was duly made and seconded that Mr. Allen Garrison furnish the rT board with plans and full details of a proposed building in the McKinley Addition and a statement in regard to his plans for outside storage at building. v Motion carried. OVERMAN Mr. Overman appeared with sketches of four acres he plans for building. He was advised to have a survey made on a 1/2 Sec. map showing subdivision of the property so that future development of his property matches with surround- ing area .in regard to future streets so that Engineer, Carter can check and �a give approval of same. c..a �= SIEDAL Mr. Ed Siedal appeared at the board meeting with a sketch showing plan for _property of Dherka and Ducha. This being a hill, Mr. Siedal was advised to get in touch with Mr. Carter in regard to roads and street possibilities and other problems. PEARSON The Zoning Board recommends that the Village Council order Mr. Pearson on old State Highway #5 to remove a sign reading "Commercial Property For Sale".
