Planning Commission - 05/03/1963 - Special May 3, 1963
A special meeting of the Eden Prairie Zoning Commission was held May 3,
1963 in room 308 of the Eden Prairie School at 8 o'clock P. M.

ORDER OF BUSINESS:
A motion was made by Albert Picha and seconded by Henry Schutrop that the
Zoning Commission recommend to the Village Council that they accept the proposed
site for Elementary School #2 in the Duck Lake school district. The legal des-
cription of the above site is as fol ows: East 10 acres of the North 17.5 acres
of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of section 8, township 116, range 22
which will be surveyed so as to comprise 10 acres, but leave an access to the
remaining 7.5 acres in seller's ownership. The motion was carried with seven
ayes.
A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Ralph Nesbitt that Mr. I. S.
• Shattuck be authorized by the Village Council to work with the school board to
prepare a comprehensive plan for future school sites in Eden Prairie with a pre-
liminary report to be submitted by approximately October 31, 1963. The motion
was carried with seven ayes.
Mr. I. S. Shattuck submitted a report and recommendation for the request-
ed Xggzoning the property at the Northwest corner of Highways #4 and #5. Copies
of that report are to be sent to the Village Clerk and Mayor in addition to the
(r Zoning Commission.
Mr. I. S. Shattuck submitted a report on the _Kocourek property on Duck
P P P Y
Lake road and stated that he would not recommend the re-zoning for the reasons
stated in his report; copies of which will be sent to the Commission, the Mayor,
and the Village Clerk.
