A Zoning Board meeting was held in the Eden Prairie School, room 308
at 8 o•clock P. M.
Present were:
A. W. Miller, Chairman Albert Bruce
Tony Hirt F. G. Holasek
Albert Pieha Ralph Nesbitt
Henry Schutrop Elmer E. Clark
Archie Carter, Engineer
ORDER OF BUSINESS:
The meeting was called to order, minutes of the last meeting were read
and approved as read.
STODOLA
A motion was madeand seconded that Gordon Stodola be granted a building
permit for a home on his property described as the West 40 rods of Gov. Lot 5
in Section 5, Township 116, Range 22, Village of Eden Prairie.
Motion carried.
A motion was made and seconded that the re-zoning application of
Norman T. Kekiner property in Section 27, Township 116, Range 22 be denied
by the Zoning and Planning Commission, legal description attached. The $85.00
check is to be returned.
Motion carried.
ALEXANDER CONSTRUCTION CO.
The matter of the permission of using a bituminous plant in the estate
of Sam Glen gravel pit by Alexander Construction Co. was..discussed at length.
Several board members had visited other plants similar tip the ozSS,An question,
also locations where work had been completed and did not find them'vgq
objectional. Therefore, the following motion was duly mane and seconded in
regard to a special use permit to the Alexander Construction Co. for the
operation of a gravel pit operation and the operation of a bituminous plant.
Said permit and contract to cover all safeguards as covered by present proposed
ordinance and all necessary additional safeguards to insure constant supervision,
clean operation and the maximum time length this operation will cover. There
were yeas, 2 nays, and 1 abstained.

SMETANA
A motion was duly made by F. G. Holasek and seconded by Al Bruce that
Mr. Ed.Smetana be granted a permit to build a home on land (description attached)
providing Mr. Herleiv Helle gives the village a written agreement to put in
standard 6-0--H. roads in any future plats on the balance of Smetana's property
when he plats or sells the same. Easement to be public access to the area.
A copy of the easement to be furnished by Mr. Ed Smetana.

LIGHT SIGNALS
A motion was duly made by Henry Schutrop and seconded by Ralph Nesbitt
that the request of Superintendent Veir Wood recommending that electrically
operated stop and go lights be installed on State Highway #5 and County Road
#4 be referred to the Village Council for consideration.
Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 12:00 P.M.
