Planning Commission - 04/03/1962 ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION EDEN PRAIRIE T014-NSHIP Members present: A.TAT.Miller chairman F.G.Holasek A.R.Hirt R.J.Nesbitt J.F.Gage Regular meeting, held at the American Legion Hall April 3, I962. Meeting was called to order by the chairman at 8:00 pm. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. Clarence Bros, general contractor for Electronics; presented drawings of proposed landscaping of their realesta` highway #I8. Motion made by Holasek that `we approve- layout d re- commend its -a.cceptance by the Town Hoard; seconded by Hirt.' carried. Mr.W.J.Shidla presented to the commission plans for a Phillips 66, service station and resteraunt, to be located on approx. I2 acres,in C-I, district atLcounty roads #4 and #5., motion made by Hirt, that we recommend to the Town Board the area be used for a service station and resteraunt, subject to submitting plans for such buildings, and sewage disposal before granting permit; also roadways in and out of both structures, seconded by Holasek, motion carried. Mr. Krith James appeared, requesting further information regarding re-zoning of his acreage on highway #5. He was told by the chairman, that consideration, of his application for re- zoning would be considered along with the aplication of Mr.Schultz, and Dr.Linnear to re-zone their property to M-I. Mr.Remus presented plans and colored sketch of propgded alterations to his present home, on #I across from Flying Cloud Field; which would convert the home .to a private supper club. Motion made by Hirt that this commission recommends that the Town Board, accepts plans and specifications for this project and that a special use permit be allowed when complete plans together with sewage disposal approved by the State of Minnesota. ,seconded by Nesbitt, motion carried. Joseph Ruzic requests permit to remove sand and gravel from the So. 360feet of that part of the N.E.4 of the S.E.hof Sec.I. T.II6, north, range 22, west of the 5th. principle meridan lying westerly of County Rd. #I8. Motion made by Ralph Nesbitt that we recommend to the Town Board that Mr.Carter examine and test at project, and bond be required, contract be drawn to establish grades, seconded by Holasek, motion carried. Ronald Bohack presented a problem, requesting a road be established to provide access for three one acre lots in Starring Lake Addition. After considerable disscussion transpired the chairman tabled the matter for further information before considering application for permit. Mr.Allen Garrison, owner of approximately seven acres, in McKinleyts First Addition, appeared to verify, his im- pression that the seven acres were located in an R-C zoned district.
