Planning Commission - 01/02/1962 ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION EDEN PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP Members present: A.W.Miller,chairman F.G.Holasek A.R.Hirt J.F.Gage Regular meeting called to order by the chairman at 8:OOpm.January2,I962,held at American Leigon hall. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. Before this meeting appeared Bruce D.MacQueen and owner of Tracts, A, B, And C, Registered Land Survey NumberI661. Files of the Registrar of Titles, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Having complied with all requirements necessary before this hearing, re,proposed amendment to zoning ordnance;chan,in,-, from Residential, Agricultural, (R A ) districts to Aesidenta3.(R.-I) And an amendment which wouldichange from the Residential-Agricultural (R-A) Districts to General Multiple Dwelling - Limited Commercial Districts (R-C) the land as described in the affidavit of publication in the Hennepin County Review. No opposition appeared at this meeting, motion made by A.R.Hirt, that the Commission recommends to the Town Board that, rezoning be approved as per advertised petition. seconded by F.G.Holasek, motion carried. Mr.Saxon, propriator of Homedale Nursery, Hopkins, and Bruce MacQueen, submitted an architcural rendering of_ a proposed ski chalet, on approximately forty acres, currently owned by the follo- wing; Robert M.Gavin, Homer Raguet, Lydia Helen, and Mr.Berger, . The prospective owners, also are considering agolf course and swiming pool.After due consideration, A.R.Hirt made a motion that a special use permit be approved by the Town Board subject to recommendations by the Town engineer; seconded by F.G.Holasek and unanimously approved. After deliberation motion made by F.G.Holasek that a special use permit be recommended for the Northwestern Bell Te- lephone Company, seconded by A.R.Hirt, motion carried. A petition by NW.Telephone Co. to the Town Board to re-zone from R-A. to R-C district, the Commission recommends to the Town Board a special use l.ermit be allowed. Hilda M.Raguet and Paul DeLacour presented petition for re-zoning from one acre,Residental agricultural R-A, to one half acre Residential District R-I, lots; those portions of Land Survey J15I, tracts A and I, files of Registrar of Filew Hennepin County, presently zoned R-A, and the west forty acres, of the S.E. Sec.23, T.II6N.R22Y. The Commission recommends to the Town Board that, re-zoning from one acre to onehalf acre be approved, and ahearing date be set . Motion made by F.G.Holasek,that this Commission recommends to the Town Board approval of tte new routing ofHighways I69 and 2I2,seconded by A.R.Hirt, unanimously approved.
