Planning Commission - 11/01/1960 ZDNING AND PLANNING COMMISSION EDEN PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP M embers present: A.W.Miller chairman F.G.Holasek Ralph Nesbitt A.R.Hirt J.F.Gage Meeting called to order by the chairman at 8:00pm. November I,I960. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. Scheduled and advertised hearing regarding petition by A.Skranka, John C.Skranka, and Frank Petrak requesting their lands comprising 295 acres be rezoned from one acre to one-half acre lots proceeded as follows.Joe Shatla took the floor and favored 2acre lots to acre lots. Homer Raguet declined to comment as amembur of the school board, be cause all members were not present.M.F.Grill favored 2 acre lots. Ed Peterson, in substance would try for 2 acre lots thru election of a town. board favorable to a change to 2 acre lots. Mrs. Solage, comments in favor of maintaining present ordnance. Don Peterson comments not in favor of present zoning. Mr.Kerwer was of the opinion that our zoning should not be changed to 2acre lots.Mr.Marsh against any change in present zoning. Mr.Enblom, definitely infavor of no change in existing zoning. Above remarks concluded further discussion. Motion made A.R.Hirt, moved that zoning and planning commission take to Dec.5, to study all factors of the zoning question involved, and make its recommendation to the town board at its next regular meeting Dec.$.; seconded by Ralph Nesbitt, unanimously approved. Proposed plat submitted by Francis McKinley C.E.Coulter surveyor, comprising land area of approximately 375f x 4631, described facing #I69, south side of N2 of S.E.4 ofthe SWz' Sec.I, Township II6, range 22.,after preliminary discussion with owners,further study was recommeiided.Z There being no further business motion for adjournment was made, /seconded, and unanimously approved. J.F.Gage. acting sec. Addendum: All permits for moving houses into the township are to be held up until a ruleing on same has been received from the town attorney. That Richard Holasek be allowed to remove gravel, according to town ordnance, from property involved in new Freeway.
