COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE PLAN DISCUSSION. e Village Manager asked P inner Don Brauer to briefly review the procedures and product of the Comprehensive Guide Plan sessions which occurred during 1967 and 1968. Mr. Brauer then presented a condensed version of the material that was submitted to the community at the final public hearing on the Guide Plan and specifically noted those sections of the material that had impact on the Guide Plan elements in the Bryant Lake area. He also presented an analysis of the Bryant Lake environment noting particularly those elements of that environment which he felt the Village should make every effort to retain, regardless of the nature of the urban use of the land. He commented that the intent of the Guide Plan proposals was to achieve the objectives that he felt were shared by the Bryant Lake area residents ; namely, the preservation of many of the natural amenities existing on the now undeveloped • properties. Mr. Don Sorenson, Mr. Pay Pauly, and Mr. Dick Smith, presented a series of petitions signed by almost all of the residents in the Bryant Lake and Topview areas, stating their objections to the Guide Plan proposals for land use in the Bryant Lake area and asking that the Planning Commission and Council take the necessary action to revise the Guide Plan. They specifically objected to the elements of the Guide Plan which suggested multiple family as an appropriate use for the lands on the southerly shore of Bryant Lake and on the south side of Vall*y View Road just west of 494. They asked that these lands be reclassified as half acre single family. Following a 1,uncthy general discussion on the Guide Plan, specifically as it is relates to the Bryant Lake and Topview areas, it was agreed that the Planning Commission would meet with representatives of the three neighborhood's involved at a special meeting to be held Monday, October 27, 1969, at 7 :30 P.M. , at the Village Nail.
