PLANNING AND ZONING 0OM4ISSION
Tuesday, July 15, 1969 7:30 P.M. Village Hall
Members Present, Odmor Skjelbostad, Chairman, Messrs, Vernon Emerson
Homer Raguet, Henry R Hauser, Norma Schee, Marvin LaGrow. George Hite,
Village 11anager was also Present.
ZONING ORDINANCE - CLASSIFICATION
Manager George Hite reported on the July 8 Council meeting at
which time the -rezoning to comply with the Comprehensive Guide
Plan was considered. The Council suggested that the recammendation
for zoning be returned to the Commission for additional consideration
on August 5, 1969. The Co uLi.ssion is to try to return the recamrenda-
tions by August 12,1969. It was agreed that the Commission should
at the meeting August 5 consider only the guidelines as to
reclassification of property.
• CONSTEL 1 DEVE OPP4ENC
Manager George Hite reported on the progress of Constel 1 development
in eastern Eden Prairie and another possible development called
Vanguard in the same area. Brauer and Associates have been asked to submit
a proposal for a detailed study of the eastern part of the Village. The
ability to perform the study may depend on whether or not it will be
possible to special assess part of the cost to the benifited property
owners.
BLOOMINGTON
The proposed western Bloomington development plan was discussed and
it was agreed that the Commission should meet with the Bloomington
Planning Commission sometime in September.
F dMWAY SIGNING
Mr. Naegele has approached the Village with a request for a series of
signs along the North side of Interstate 494. It will be necessary
to first consider whether the Village is going to allow signs along
the Interstate highway system and if so under what conditions. Mr.
Hite will develop a proposed ordinance for the regulation of highway signs.
