Members present: Emerson, Nesbitt, Meyers, Raguet & Schee, Also present
Village Manager, George C. Hite.
I. MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 1 , 1970
The minutes of September 1 , 1970, were approved without correction.
II. PETITIONS, REQUESTS AND COMMUNICATIONS
A. William Bren, Request for Reconsideration of Mining Application North
of T.H. 69 between Willow Creek Road and Shady Oak Road. Rescheduled for
next meeting. Applicant not present.
III. RECOMMENDATIONS AND REPORTS
A. n The i s. or- on Building Corporation's Planned Unit Development.
Bryant Lake Area. A staff review of the application dated September 15, 1970
was presented—icy planner Bill Bonner. The report reviewed the adequacy of
the material submitted with the application in relation to the PUD procedural
requirements and specified ,a number of areas where additional information was
required. The Manager commented that he did not feel the proposed development
mass (combination of building, streets, parking areas, etc.) was in keeping
with the objective of preserving as much of the sites ecology characteristics'
as possible. He recommended that no action be taken until the additional
information required was submitted and the applicant reconsidered the projects
ecological impact. The Commission decided to give the proposal additional
consideration at the October 6 meeting.
B. Planned Study Districts Redesi nation. A September 15 staff report
revie—wUn—g—a7l existing Planned Study District Zoning and recommending
reclassifications was presented by Mr. Bonner. The Manager suggested that
all affected property owners be notified that the matter was under con-
sideration. The matter was continued until the meeting of October 6.
IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. Andrew Justus. Proposed Property Division. Eden Prairie Industrial Park.
Fuller Road. The Manager reviewed and recommended that the proposal be approved.
r. Emerson moved that the Commission recommend to the Council that the division
be approved. Mr. Raguet seconded. All voted aye. Motion carried.
