EDEN PRAIRIE PLANNING COMMISSION
Monday, March 2, 1970 7:35 P.M., Village Hall
Members present were, Chairman Skjelbostad, LaGrow, Raguet, Meyers, Wise,
and Geiger. Also present was Village Manager, George C. Hite.
I. PRESENTATIONS
A. Mr. e�or a Mauer. Proeosal for Industrial Zonin 'south 'of'Co.' Road 'l east
of T.H.' '169 Mr. tewart Bay le, attorney, appeared on behalf o Mr. Mauer an
presented a proposal for Industrial Zoning on property situated on the south
side of County Road 1 , immediately to the east of the industrial developement
situated near the intersection of TH 169. He reported that his client
proposed to divide the site in half and to construct industrial buildings on
each half similar to the buildings his client had recently constructed.

warehouses and that he flet the existing and projected traffic flows in the
area would, in themselves , justify the requested rezoning.
Mr. Raguet moved that the Commission receive the proposal for staff review
and additional consideration at its meeting on March 17th . Mr. Geiger
seconded. All voted aye. Motion carried.
II. RECOMMENDATIONS AND REPORTS

nearCo. Rd. I The Village Manager presented a staff report and recommended
t at t e request be approved subject to the applicant providing an easement for
public road purposes across his property so that the lands to the north would
have access onto Flying Cloud Drive. The staff report also reviewed the remain-
ing lands in the area located between Flying Cloud Drive and the extension
of the Crosstown Highway - 169.
Mr. Archie Carter and Mr. John Blommberg, owners of the property immediately
to the west of Mr. Cardarelle's office site were present and indicated that
they hadno objection to Mr. Cardarelle's request.
Mr. Raguet moved that the Commission recommend to the Village Council that it
approve the request of Frank Cardarelle for office zoning, subject to his
granting of an easement for public road purposes which would provide access
from Flying Cloud Drive to the property north of Mr. Cardarelle's. Miss Wise
seconded. All voted aye. Motion carried.

nc. had been aSKed to supply a i Tonal information about their proposal and
that a staff report to the Commission was tenatively scheduled for the first
meeting in April.
