Jullie explained the alternatives to the storm sewer/street pro- ject as outlined in his letter of ►iarch 22 . Alternate A and B assessment methods (Attachment II of the ;iarch 14 hearing minutes ) were also explained . ►4ayor Osterholt clarified the fact that approval of the sewer project does not include approval of the alignment of Red Rock Road . Mr. Jullie added that moving the road westerly t•tas studied and poor soil conditions were encountered as t.eli as the division of developable land . If the collector veere ;roved to the !vest , Red Pock Road could "T" that collector or become a cul -de-sac . That assessing part of the cost to general community benefit for the Red Rock Road improve- ment was a possibility said i•ir. Jullie in reply to a question from Wr. Penzel . Mr . Eugene Martinson , 3317 Red Rock Road , presented a petition signed by the seven residents of Red Rock Road protesting the change of Red Rock Road to a collector. iir . 11 . Rions , 15109 Oak Drive and Firs . Richard Duvick , 3331 iced Rock Road , also voiced opposition to the plan . Jr. Joe Leonard , 3217 Hillside Drive , informed the Council of the re- sults of a survey he took after the arrival of fir . Jullie ' s Harch 22 letter. Those in favor of : Paver laid bituminous surface ; no storm sevier 16 ilei ther street nor storm sever 13 _ Improvements as presented iaarch 14 with sewer lateral assessment based on footage 4 Seal coated street ; no storm serer 3 Seal coated street; minimum storm sewer 1 Five residents were undecided while five others could not be reached for comment. 11r. Don Johnson , 3210 Sheridan Lane , turned those present of the pos- sibility of shortsightedness . If a minimum street were ordered , residents could be subject to maintenance costs and eventually street replacement at a probable higher cost . iir. Duane Pidcock , 14901 Scenic Heivhts Road , echoed t;iese remarks . Mr. Jack Schaubert , 14509 Hillside Drive , stated he was satisfied with the streets in their present condition . 4 Scenic Heights Area Public Nearing -2- ilarch 279 1974 Mr. Wayne Tracy, G225 Hillside Drive , suggestted delaying action on the streets until after sewer and .-later were installed and inviting smaller contractors to bid on the street project . s .Mayor Osterholt explainer; that if the Droject were ordered , bids would be received . Paver laid bituminous surface ( 1-1/211 ) Igith 4" of crushed rock cruse ; no storm seiner. b. Furl street level opraent--bituminous road ari th con- crete curb and cutter ; mi ainum storm sealer . c. Store saw-er outlet at the south end of the drainage pond . d . An alternate to Sub-trunk 73-1-27 where the sub- trunk line .could terminate at the Zachnan 27-lot development. ilotion carried unanimously.
