SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING 3 October, 1967
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Osterholt.
PRESENT WERE:
David W. Osterholt, Mayor Alvin J. Bren
James C. Brown, Clerk Paul R. Redpath
Arthur W. Miller Rolf E. Naugen, Treasurer
The purpose of the meeting was to approve the final budget for 1968 and
set the final levy figures.
The Board went over the various aspects. There was certain discussion on
various areas. There were many changes in the various categories from the
preliminary budget which was presented to the Board. There was some question
as to how the surplus monies should be handled. They should be left in the
surplus but so designated in the 1968 budget as surplus funds so that they
can be used if needed. The complete budget will be retyped and copies made
available for the Councilmembers for final adoption of the budget at the
agreed on figures.
Motion was made by Alvin Bren, seconded by Arthur Miller to set a levy for
the general fund of $162,600.00 and for the building bond fund of $6,400.00,
making a total levy for tax purposes of $169,000.00.
The motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
