Brown, Clerk Kenneth E. Anderson Rolf E. Haugen, Treas. Alvin J. Bran Harlan W. Perbix, Atty. A. W. Miller Quentin K. Wood, APW ORDER OF BUSINESS: 1-14-66 MINUTES Motion made by Alvin J. Bran and seconded by Kenneth E. Anderson to approve min- utes of 14 December, 1965, and 3 January, 1966, as published. With the following cor- rections: Minutes of 3 January, 1966, items 1-14-66 renumbered 1 A-66, item 1-15-66 renumbered ]-B-66 and item 1-16-65 renumbered 1-C-66 to show non-agenda items. The alphabetical letter will be used on all non-agenda items. If it becomes an agenda item It will then pick up the regular agenda series. 1-15-66 VOUCHERS Motion made by Kenneth E. Anderson and seconded by A. W. Miller to approve vouchers ', 1 #2866 through #2926 for payment. Motion made by A. W. Miller and seconded by Alvin J. Bran to request on a J sec— tion map or maps an outline of the area to be rezoned and the area for a buffer and the legal description of the area to be rezoned SI and to continue the hearing until 26 January, 1966. Agenda item 1-17-66 is considered closed. 1-18-66 FOREST KNOLLS - JOE SEM AD x Attorney and Engineer did not have the new contract ready. In order to release any escrow money an Engineering report on the project must be filed showing amount of original contract, amount of work done, amount to be done, inspection fee as per A inspections, amount of money or bond required to finish the project. Mr. Semrad requested release of the basement building permits 1405-1406-1407-14108 granted 13 October, 1965, as he has filed a Bond with the Village. Motion made by A. W. Miller and seconded by Kenneth E. Anderson to release re- striction on building permits 1405-1406-1407-1408 to allow Mr. Samrad to complete the dwellings. Motion made by Kenneth E. Anderson and seconded by A. W. Miller to set joint meeting for 16 January, 1966, if it can be arranged - all parties to be notified. Motion carried. 1-24-66 CFFICE EQUIPMENT Request by Clerk to secure informal bids. Council authorized Clerk to proceed and have bids for 8 February, 1966. 1-25-66 J OHN DiEERE CRAWLER s s Report by Mr. Wood Attached. Mr. Wood advised to secure ififormation on new loaders. 1-26-66 MR. PERBIX - ORDINANCES Mr. Perbix presented Ordinances 68-69-67 for Council approval. Mbtion made by Kenneth E. Anderson and seconded by Alvin J. Bren to adopt Ordin- ande 68 (Traffic Laws) and Ordinance 69 (Drivers License Laws) and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign. Motion carried. Motion made by Alvin J. Bren and seconded by Kenneth E. Anderson to adopt Ordin- ance 67 (Rezoning Miller Brothers Property) and authorize Mayor and Clerk to sign. Motion carried. 1-26-66 BREN ROAD In 1949 a road known as R. E. Bren road was presented to the Village this has never been filed. In order to get this on record a resolution or special deeds are required. Attorney Perbix to contact all property owners involved as to what they are willift to provide and report back to the Council. 1-27-66 VILLAGE PERSONNEL Mayor Osterholt appointed Clerk Brown, Councilman Anderson and himself to a committee to work out a merit system for all Village Employees. Assessor Whitmer appeared and requested a substantial wage increase.. Mayor Oeterholt turned the chair over to Acting Mayor Miller and offered the 5 , following motion. Motion made by Mayor David W. Osterholt and seconded by Alvin J. Bren to study salary for Mr. Whitmer and report back to him not later than 28 January, 1966. Motion carried. s' 1-28-66 MAYOR OSTERHOLT Y Advised that he had items from old minutes that he would have copied and sent to Council members before the next meeting. w Council Meeting --4 11 January, 1966 1-22-66 CLERK BROWN Clerk Brown presented for approval letters written to North Mankato and Glen Lake Skate Bank as requested b Council. Letters read �=- eq y by a12 Council members and r� approval given. ---� Clerk Brown then requested Foreman Stodola to check with local residents on special help with tractors and loaders if needed. Motion made by A. W. Miller and seconded by Kenneth E.Anderson to authorize Ray to call if needed -- K. T. Brown, Nesbitt Bros,, Irwin Mitchell, Virgil Siefert, Jerome Jacques. Motion carried. 1-D-66 REIN do CARROIL HHFA Loan. Bob Carroll and Virg Muller appeared to discuss possibility for a new loan application. They are to work with Quentin k. Wood and Mr. Wood to work out new areas for a possible loan application and report 26 January, 1966.
