City Council - 01/16/1965 - Village Meeting January 16, 1965 {
The Council met in the Village TIall on Saturday morning January 16, 1965.
Present were:
Donald A. Rogers, Mayor Albert L. Bruce, Trustee
Kenneth E. Anderson, Trustee James C. Brown, Clerk
Alvin J. Bren, Trustee Quentin K. `good, Engineer
ORDER OF BUSINESS:
ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT

A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to spend up
to $650 for engineer's equipment and supplies and to authorize the Engineer to rent
special needed items by the day.
Motion carried.
VILLAGE PLANNER
The Village Planner, Midwest Planning & Research, Inc. is to work on the basis
of $150 per month for basic planning and Zoning & Planning Commission meetings.
Anything above $150 will require special Council approval.

HIGHWAY I-EETINGS - JAMES HAWKES
A motion was made by Albert Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to authorize

James Hawkes to attend meetings with the Highway Department on the 494-169 interchange
until further notice.
Motion carried. !
VOUCHER #2090
A motion was made by Albert Bruce and seconded by James Brown to approve voucher
#2090 to Carroll & Perbix for payment, t
Motion carried.
OFFICE GIRL
A motion was made by Albert Bruce and seconded by Alvin Bren to authorize the
Administrator of Public Works to hire an office girl at up to $1.50 per hour or
$260 per month.
Motion carried.
SENII-MONTHLY PAY
A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Albert Bruce to pay permanent
Village employees semi-monthly.

Administrative note to preceding motion:
1. Each check will have 1/2 months salary less deductions.
2. The first check of the month will be signed at the 2nd Tuesday meeting
of the Council. This check will also include all authorized expenses due
from the previous month.
3. The second check of each month will include only the salary.

A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Albert Bruce to authorize the
Clerk to procure a $3,000 bond in favor of the U. S. Postal Service for the Village
contract station.
Motion carried.
VOUCHER #2091

payment of voucher #2091 to Quentin K. Wood for 1/2 of January salary.
