City Council - 09/23/1964 - Village Meeting September 23, 1964 The Council met in the library of the Eden Prairie High School on :September 23, 1964 at 8 o'clock p. m. Present were: Donald A. Rogers, Mayor Rolf E. Haugen Treasurer Kenneth E. Anderson, Trustee Edna M. Holmgren, Acting Clerk Albert L. Bruce, Trustee W. Harlan Perbix, Attorney Alvin J. Bren, Trustee Archie Carter, Attorney ORDER. OF BUSINESS: MINUTES A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to approve the minutes of September 9th with the following, addition: Top View Acres - Water System Attorney Perbix was instructed to prepare a resolution denying a common water system in Top View Acres. Motion carried. CORRECTION - MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 25, 1964 A motion was made by Albert Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to correct the minutes of February 25, 1964 to read "Well Ordinance #43" instead of Well Ordinance #42. Motion carried. VILLAGE HALL FURNITURE BIDS A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to receive the following bids for Village Hall furniture: x P. S. Johnson's, Inc. $3,924.06 Farnham Stationery & School Supply Co. 4,002.11 Miller-Davis Co. 4,292.00 Globe Office Furniture Co. 4,426.70 s Motion carried. ORDINANCES #51 and #52 A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to adopt { Ordinances #51 and #52 and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign. Motion carried. RESOLUTION #87 - TOPVI ACRES WATER SYSTEM A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to adopt Resolution #87 and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign. Motion carried. C:) BUDGET FOR 1965 A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to approve the following budget for 1965: General Fund $ 45.910 Street Fund 68.500 Poor Fund 5.250 $ 119.660 Motion carried. FIRE ARMS ORDINANCE A motion was made by Albert Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to instruct Attorney Perbix to investigate the possibility of a fire arms ordinance. Motion carried. 4- ti f C BIG DISCOUNT STATION TRAILERS j a A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to instruct IT the Constable to check into trailers at the Big Discount Station and report to ' Attorney Perbix. Motion carried. STREET SIGN - HIAWATHA & SCENIC HEIGHTS ROAD -• The request for a street sign at Hiawatha & Scenic Heights Road was denied X:!�w1 until such time as street names are established. E. Motion carried. z SERIOS - RAMS PRIVATE CLUB Mr. Se rios and Ramus appeared with plans for a private supper club and discussed their request for a liquor license. No action was taken at this time. } 4 September 23, 1964 (Page 3) VILLAGE HALL LANDSCAPING - BIDS A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to advertise for bids on landscaping the grounds at the Village Hall. Motion carried. VILLAGE HALL - INTERIOR COLORING A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to approve the interior coloring schedule of the Village Hall. Motion carried.
