City Council - 06/09/1964 - Village Meeting June 9, 1964 The Village Council met in room 308 in the Eden Prairie High School on June 9, 1964 at 8 o*clock p. m. Present were: Donald A. Rogers, Mayor James C. Brown Clerk g Y Kenneth E. Anderson, Trustee Rolf E. Haugen, Treasurer Albert Bruce, Trustee Edna N. Holmgren, Bookkeeper Alvin J. Bren, Trustee W. Harlan Perbix, Attorney Archie Carter, Engineer ORDER OF BUSINESS: MINUTES A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to accept the minutes of the May 27, 1964 meeting as written. . Motion carried. VOUCHERS A motion was made by James Brown and seconded by Alvin Bren to approve vouchers #1612 through #1655 for payment. Motion carried. A. R. HIRT - BIRCH ISLAND ACRES A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to author- ize the Clerk and Mayor to sign Registered Land Survey # in regard to Chang- ing lot lines on lots 11, 12 and 13 in Birch Island Acres. Motion carried. JANKE' S 1ST ADDITION -A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Al Bruce to approve the preliminary plat of Janke•s lst Addition. Notion carried. VILLAGE HALL BONDS } A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to return all certified bonds on bids for the Village Hall except the one for C. W. Borreson Construction Co. Motion carried. a 3 June 9, 1964 (Page 2) s VOTER REGISTRATION ORDINANCE #49 A motion was made by Albert Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to adopt Voter Registration Ordinance #49. Motion carried. NORMAN NELSON - DEPUTY COMMISSIONER A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to appoint Norman Nelson Deputy Commissioner of Voter Registration at $2.00 per hour not to exceed 100 hours. Motion carried. VOTER REGISTRATION MATERIAL A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded. by Kenneth Anderson to authorize the Clerk to purchase necessary material for voter registration. Motion carried. 20P3ING ORDINANCE #48 A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to adopt Ordinance #48 amending Ordinance #8. Motion carried. ORDINANCE #47 - PEARSON PROPERTY A motion was made by Albert Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to con- tinue the hearing on the. Pearson Property until July 14, 1964. Motion carried. ROSEVIOTTNT - TORIAS BELDEN - BEIM - HOLASEK HEARIMS A motion was made by James Brown and seconded by Alvin Bren to continue �. the hearing on these properties until June 30, 1964. Motion carried. MEETING DATE A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by James Brown to set the next meeting date for the Council on June 30, 1964. Motion carried. EDENWOOD RIDGE - ESCROW MONIES A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to release escrow :ponies on the Edenwood Ridge development in the amount of $2,300.00. r Motion carried. June 9, 1964 (Page 3) _ ELAYNE HILLS The Council instructed Engineer Carter to furnish more complete information In regard to drainage and roads for Elayne Hills at the June 30, 1964 meeting. TOP VIEW ACRES : COMMUNITY WATER SYSTEM A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to accept for study the water report prepared by Banister Engineering Co. submitted by Wal-Don Builders for Top View Acres. Motion carried. RAY JENSON - TOWN LINE ROAD Ray Jenson appeared requesting the speed limit on Town Line Road be reduced from 30 mules per hour to 20. A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to request the Clerk to confer with Minnetonka Village in regard to this problem. Motion carried. VILLAGE HALL WE A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to authorize fi the Clerk to advertise for bids on a well for the Village Hall to be opened on f June 30, 1964.
