City Council - 03/10/1964 - Village Meeting March 10, 1964 The Village Council not in room 308 in the Eden Prairie High School on March 10, 1964 at 8 o•clock p. m. Present Were: Donald A. Rogers, Mayor Janes C. Brown, Clerk Kenneth E. Anderson, Trustee Rolf E. Haugen, Treasurer Albert Bruce, Trustee Edna M. Hologren, Bookkeeper Alvin J. Bren, Trustee W. Harlan Perbix, Attorney Archie Carter, Engineer ORDER OF BUSINESS: A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to accept the m1nutes of the February 2Sth and March 7th meetings as written with the following correction. VOUCHERS A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to approve payment of vouchers #1483 through 1526. Motion carried. FOREST Klg LS A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to accept the preliminary plat for Forest molls with the following two qualifications: 1. That there be provided a connection from Rosemary Drive across south end of Lot 27 Block 1 to the laud to the west of Semrad tract. 2. That a drainage plan for N E corner of tract being developed be pre. pared by developers engineer and approved by Village of Eden Prairie before final plat is prepared. Motion carried. NORTHERN STATES POWER-HIV TENSION "M A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Alvin Bren to invite Northern j States Power Co. to attend the March 25th meeting and advise them that we feel an alternate route is more preferable along County Road 18. R Motion carried. I March 10. 1964 (Page 2) TAX FORFEITED LAND-EDEN PRAIRIE CW= A notion was made by James Broth and seconded by Alvin Bren to table this matter until a later date. Motion carried. EDEN HEIGHTS-B" TOP ROAD Discussion was held about this road and it was decided that the Village would maintain this road up to Bill Barths lot. JUNE YARD-TOWN.I —ROAD Messrs Bollig and Don Schierman will swear out a complaint against Smith Junk Yard on Torn Line Road. WATER SAFETY ORDINANCE A notion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by J. Brown to request Attorney Perbia to prepare an ordinance to regulate manner of use of lake water. There were 3 ayes and 2 abstain. Motion carried. GRONVALL & MITTO> AUDIT REPORT A notion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to accept audit report prepsred by Gronvall & Mittens and placed on file with the Clerk and Public Examiner. Motion carried. ART...&..WQ,H I.ASEK PROPFSR= HEA M A notion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bran to adjourn this hearing until the Belden property hearing on April 14th. Hotion carried. KIES FOMT-3_RD ADDITION A notion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to approve the final plat for Kings Forest-3rd Addition with the following conditions: 1. Mr. Senrad is to send letter to Village giving approval to transfer escrow monies held in Kings Forest-2nd Addition to the 3rd Addition. 2. Pay a filing fee of $150.00 r 3. Pay al n4 Wn inspection fee of $99.00 4. Building permit to be withheld for Lot 2 Block 1 of Kings Court Addition r (original) until drainage of sump needed is detersdmed. Motion carried. A motion was made by Alvin Bran and seconded by Al Bruce to change any reference made to Kings Forest-3rd Addition as kings Forest-2nd Addition. Notion carried. Mnrch 10, 1964 (page 3) WAGE AGE==-ROAD CREW A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to a ncept the wage agreement between Local 49 IOOE and the Village of Eiden Prairie which goes into effect April 1, 1964. Notion carried. PARR 00*aSSION APPOIwT The Clerk was imtructed to write a letter to the Eden Prairie School Board about an appointment 66-- a member from that board to the Park Commission that is going to be formed soon. The term would be for three years. AL R CE RES3DU ION-20NM A PLAMM CO MSION A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Brea to accept the resignation of Al Bruce and make the appointment of James Brown as a member of the Zoning A Planning Commission. Motion carried. __'S BOND .. A motion vas wade by Al Brace and seconded by James Brown to bond the Treasurer for $20,000 instead of 100,000 as Increased in the February 25th minutes. NDtion carried. POST OFFICE-50 PRAIRIE A motion was made by Al Brace and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to instruct the ' Clerk to answer the letter from the Post Office Department,. Lotion carried.
