City Council - 02/25/1964 - Village Meeting February 25, 1964 V M The Village Council met in room 308 in the Eden Prairie High School on February 25, 1964 at 8 o'clock p. m. �r Present were: E-- v- Donald A. Rogers, Mayor James C. Brown, Clerk ;- Kenneth E. Anderson, Trustee Rolf E. Haugen, Treasurer Al Bruce, Trustee Edna M. Holmgren, Bookkeeper Alvin Bren, Trustee W. Harlan Perbix, Attorney Archie Carter, Engineer ORDER OF BUSINESS: MINUTES A motion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to accept the minutes of the February llth and 15th meetings with the following corrections: Art & Georme Holasek-Re-Bonin¢ 1. The hearing date will be March loth, not set on March loth. 2. The notion was seconded by Al Bruce, not Alvin Bren. Motion carried. ( NORTHERN STATES POWER-HIGH TENSION LINE A motion was made by Al Bruce and seconded by Alvin Bren to instruct the Assessor to prepare a report of property owners that would be affected by a transmission line on the west side of County Road 18 from the Minnesota River to Interstate #494. There were 4 ayes and 1 nay. Motion carried. ASSESSMENT IMPROUZ,§ A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to make June 1, 1964 as a deadline for Assessment Improvements. Motion carried. PICTURE -MILLER•S STORE cr Mrs. Calvin Anderson appeared representing the Eden Prairie Women•s Club. She presented a picture of the old Millers Store that was used for a Town Hall -- in the 180099 with a stipulation that it be hung in the new Village Hall. OVERMAN EROPERTT-HEARING A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to adopt the resolution for a hearing on the Overman property, County Road 66 and Duck Lake Road. Motion carried. v Febraary 23, 1964 (Page 2) FIRE CONTRACT-CITY OF ROPKII+iS A 'notion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the fire contract with the City of Hopkins. Motion carried. JUNK YARD RE114MT A nation was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to refer Constable Larsonts report on junk yards to the Village Attorney for further action. Motion carried. TRB URICRO 5 BOND A notion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to increase to $100,000 the bound for the Treasurer. Notion carried.
