Present were: Donald Rogers, Mayor Elmer E. Mark, Cleric Al Bruce, Trustee Rolf B. Haugen, Treasurer Alvin Bren, Troastee Edna M. Hol avgren, Bookkeeper Kenneth Anderson, Trustee W. Harlan Parbiz, Attorney Archie Carter, Engineer 0RUE& OF BUSINESS: The meeting was called to order by Mayor, Rogers. NUUTES A notion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alain Bran to accept the minutes of the July 24th meeting as written. Mahon carried. & RBCBIPTS A notion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bran that checks #1143 through #1186 be issued and the recording made of receipts #1699 through #1740. Motion carried. ".: P,i1RAD E V - ERAOU §H= - ION t-- 1. Paradise Valley A motion was made by Alvin Bran and seconded by Kenneth Anderson that the hearing be continued on August 28th at 8 O clock P. M. on area B of Resolution #57. lm a Motion carried. z 2. Prairie Shores- Kutcher Addition A motion was made by Alvin Bran and seconded by Kelow th Anderson to adopt Resolution #58 in regard to (A) improvement area- Oak Ridge (6) Prairie Shores. Motion carried. 3. Resolution #39 A nation was made by Alvin Bran and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to adopt Resolution #59 accepting bid A a C amarding it to WLaok Top Service Co. Motion carried, j 1 WATMB SAFETr Mr. Carl Williams appeared representing the Hen nepin County Water Patrol requesting that an ordinance be not up in regard to the use of lakes in Zden Prairie. A notUn was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Hren to got together with interested people and make a study of the problems and report back to the Council at the Deoexbor {�> meeting. Matiesxa came O August 130 1963 (Page 2) SKELLY OIL CO. Mr. Warren Schultz appeared in regard to the special use permit that is being requested by Skelly Oil Co. for a service station and restaurant at the corner of Highway #5 and School Road. The matter was referred back to the Planning Commission meeting of September 3rd as to the requirements of this permit. DRIVE-IN THEATRES Mr. Kobbs appeared requesting an ordinance limiting Drive-In Theatres in Eden Prairie to one for every 25,000 people. No action was taken at this time. HERITAGE PARK -IST ADDI ON A notion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson that tentative approval will be given after signing a contract for roads in the amount of $1;495.20:' with a clause for credit on this amount for work that will be done in preparation for paving. Included in the plat is a service road and no work shall be required on this service road as a part of this contract, that construction of service road is to be considered when the land to the east is platted. Motion carried. SJQXKML A notion was made by Alvin Bren and seconded by Kenneth Anderson to give a permit � to Mr. Susemihl to move�a house from 5749-42M Avenue So., Minneapolis, Minnesota to his property in Eden Prairie after a $3,000.00 bond is posted. C Motion carried. STREET SIGNS - MM YIEW I Property owners in Eden View I appeared suggesting that North Eden Drive and South Eden Drive remain the same name when street signs are erected. This was tabled for the Planning Commission at a later date. BMA330_CODE A motion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bien to instruct Attorney, Perbix to drain up an ordinance adopting the building code with minor changes in regard to fees in - 1961 Oniforn Building, And. Vol. 1, Vol. 3., p-ablished by International Conference of Building Officials by the August 28th meeting. Motion carried. A notion was made by Kenneth Anderson and seconded by Alvin Bren to instruct the clerk to spend $W.00 to make application to join the International Cinference of Building Officials.
