City Council - 05/28/1962 - Special Meeting May 28th-1962
A SPECIAL Board meeting was held at the American Legion Hall
May 28th a 8 o'clock P. M. !resent Alvin Bren Chairman, Kenneth
E. Anderson and Donald Rogers Supervisors . Elmer E. Clark Clerk
and A. W. Miller Treasurer as well as several visitors.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman. The reading
of` the minutes of last meeting were omitted.
A complaint made by Ben Tonsing in regard to killing of a
black walnut tree was read, and the following motion was made.
A MOTION was duly made and seconded that the complaint be
referred to town Attorney Mr. Perbix. Mr. Tonsing's states that
the Black Walnut Tree was killed by weed spraying.

A MOTION was duly made and seconded that the Tows' Board
adopt the attched RESOLUTION #36 in regard to the improvements
of the streets and storm sewer facilities and to assess the, benifitob_
ed property for all or a portion' of the costcs of_the .i4provement
pursuant to M.S.A SEC. 429.oll to ,499,.01,11 Chapter 398 as
amended. Motion carried

to Riley Lake which would affect their propanrty.
Town Eng, Carter was absent1so without concrete informatiag the
matter vas dis=cussed and no action taken. A meeting was set for
the next regular meeting of the Board on June IIth 1962.
A Committee from the American Legion appeared to discuss
the possibility of Adding office space to present building and
leasing same to the Town. No action was taken but consideration
would be given when more details are worked out.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
