City Council - 04/08/1958 - Town Meeting x l April 8t h-1958 The Regular Board meeting of the Town of Eden Prairie was held at B O'clock P. M. at the American T.egion Hall. Present all Board members , Mr. Trim from Minnetonka and about 50 visitors. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman Mr. Kenneth Be Anderson. The minutes or the last three meetings were read and approved as read. The monthly financial report was also read and approved. Mr. Buford Olson presented a road change petition which is a continuation of a Road FetAtion allowed M. F. Schutt in 1944 but which for various reason never was completed. Mr. Olson has agreed to furnish the land and par for the grading of same providing the Town does the graveling and maintains the sauce. A motion was made and seconded that the Town Board accept the proposal of Mr. Olson and the Clerk be instructed to request the County Suyveror to survey and lay out same. the work to be done at the Boards earliest convenience. Carried Mr. Edwin Dvorak spoke very well in regard to the obnoxious aspects of our every growing junk yards. A motion was made and seconded the the Junk problem be referred to the Zoning Board and our attorney for any Immediate action that can be taken Carried A motion was madeand seconded that Mr. Parbix write to Mr. Kresse in ro- dirt pile on vacaoelot in Rstervilie Addition, which he promised to remove as soon as possible last falls Carried A motion was Ale and seconded that the Carter CO. of Zxoelsior Minn• (Civil 8ngineers) be hired for a ,three day expl orairtory Examination of Town Roads for future planning• Carried . A Motion was made and seconded that the Treasurer Mr. Mill be authorised be buy certain office equipment necessary for keeping Town records and a Telephone Extenties in his home on account of his office being on the second floor. Carried A motion was made and seconded that the clerk be Instructed request additional help over and above the all oted $887.00 for repair on black top roads which were ruined on account of the detour from Oo. Road #4 April 8 cont'd i over Sden Prairie #66. Carried i f ♦ motion was made and seconded that We Ralph Johnson be appointed Road Commissioner for the yearl958-59 Salary to be $325.00 per month with 2 weeks vacation. Carried A motion was made and seconded that Ray Stodoia be hired at a salary of $300.00 per month. Carried There being no further business the meetink adjocrnod. { r !J cleric f
