City Council - 09/08/1956 - Joint Meeting i _ k Special _Meeting A special meeting of the Town Board and The Zoning Board was held at 1:30 September Sth 1956 at the American Legion Hall Present : Kenneth Anderson Alvin Bren Supervisor, Don Rogers Supervisor and Elmer E. Clark Clerk of Town Board Mr . A. W. Miller Chairman of Zoning Board, Frank Gage F Director and F . G . Holasek Director also Mr. I S Shattuck Planning Engineer and a member of the State Board of Health . � The Boards went over the maps and plans for the Town � and report good progress being made . m The subjects of health and drainage were discussed at length . No action was taken of a definite nature but slot of food for thought was brought out . A motion was made seconded and carried that the Town Board adopt the Preliminary plan of Bill McMan in Eden Hills first Addition as presented to the Board on Sept . 8 1956 i and recommended b the ZZoni a a .gs of the Same date . On motion th meeting �j�$rd Regular meeting Sept 8th 1956 1 The Regular Board Yeeting was on the 8th of September on account of the Primary Election conflicting with the regular meeting date Sept . 11 1956 All members were present . The Chair called the meeting to order . The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved as read . The verified accounts were audited and the Clerk was instructed to draw orders for all claims presented . The j Clerk drew the orders and the Treasurer issued checks for same. The Clerk was instructed to mail all checks to the proper par-ties. A motion was made seconded and carried that the Clerk be instructed to purchase a suitable desk for the Clerk 's f office . Same to be the property of they Town of Eden Prairie . f The following persons were sugested for the purpose of serving on the Election Board : Gordon Hulbert,Dutch Poposki, Art Holasek, A . W . Miller, Mabel Mo,,an, Bernice Karask A dal; e was set to view the Rutcher and Starr reads . There being no further business th meeting adjourned . C lerk On Sept . 20 1956 the Board viewed the Starr and Matcher roads . They refused to accept the se roads until they are put in much better condition in regard to ditches for proper drainage culverts and top surfacing. Both parties were notified of this action and good road men were recomended . -Clerk
