Chair Leeper called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. Commission Members Elassar and Aliweyd were absent. Missaghi arrived during the Local Non-Profit presentation. Aman attended virtually. Student Members Ramanathan and Lunda attended virtually and Mohan and Osman were absent.
II. INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS
Jeff Strate from the Eden Prairie Local News was in attendance for his presentation.
III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
MOTION: Weaver moved, seconded by Skeie, to approve the agenda. Motion carried
5-0.
IV. APPROVAL OF THE JANUARY 13, 2022 MEETING MINUTES MOTION: Urbanski moved, seconded by Griffin, to approve the January 13, 2022 minutes.
Motion carried 5-0. V. LOCAL NON-PROFIT PRESENTATION Jeff Strate, from Eden Prairie Local News presented to the Commission. He said he wanted to
bring attention to the mission of EP Local News, its recently appointed community (diversity)
advisory task force and EPLN’s welcome mat for letters-to-editor and independently written commentaries and articles from minorities. Mr. Strate also commented he was a member of the HRDC from 1999 to 2005. He started out by stating that EP Local News took the place of
