HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - HRA 2001-02 - Public Hearing for amended Redevelopment Project Area 5 and Amendment of TIF District 13 Plan - 10/16/2001 CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE • HENNEPIN COUNTY,NIINNESOTA H.I.A.RESOLUTION NO.2001-02 A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY IN AND FOR THE CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE ON APPROVAL OF AN AMENDED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA NO. 5 AND AMENDMENT OF THE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN FOR TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 13 BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Eden Prairie,Minnesota(the"HRA"), as follows: 1. Proposed Amended Redevelopment Plan and Tax Increment Financing Plan The HRA has prepared, and will present to the City for approval, an amended redevelopment plan, as defined in Minnesota Statutes,Section 469.002,subdivision 16 for Redevelopment Project Area No.5,and an amended Tax Increment Financing Plan for Tax Increment District No. 13. It has been proposed that the Board of Commissioners of the HRA and the City Council approve the amended Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Area No. 5, and the amended Tax Increment Financing for Tax Increment District No. 13,and that the HRA hold a public hearing on the amended Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Area No. 5, and the amended Tax Increment Financing for Tax • Increment District No. 13, as required by Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.028 and 469.175, subdivision 3. 2. Public Hearing. A public hearing is hereby scheduled to be held on the amended Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Area No. 5, and the amended Tax Increment Financing for Tax Increment District No. 13, at 7:00 p.m. on December 4, 2001, in the Council Chambers of the Eden Prairie City Center, 8080 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing in substantially the form of Exhibit A hereto to be published in the official newspaper of the HRA not less than 10 days prior to the date of the hearing, and to provide the information required by Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.175, subdivision 2 to the appropriate governmental bodies. Jullie ecutive Director • EXHIBIT A • NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY IN AND FOR THE CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE ("IRA") ON APPROVAL OF AN AMENDED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA NO.AND ON APPROVAL OF AN AMENDED TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN FOR TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 13 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Eden Prairie will hold a public hearing on approval of an amended Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Proj ect Area No.5,and an amended Tax Increment Financing for Tax Increment District No. 13 at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2001, in the City Council Chambers, 8080 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie,Minnesota. The amended Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Area No.5,and the amended Tax Increment Financing for Tax Increment District No. 13, provide for the financing with tax increment revenue generated by the Financing District established by the Financing Plan of certain public redevelopment costs to be incurred by the HRA or the City in connection with carrying out the • Project Plan for the Project Area. All who wish to be heard as to the amended Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project Area No. 5, and the amended Tax Increment Financing for Tax Increment District No. 13,will be given an opportunity to express their views at the time of the public hearing or may file written comments with the Executive Director prior to the public hearing. i Carl J.
