HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 87-225 - Declaring Cost s to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation of 1987 Special Assessment Rolls and Setting Hearing Date - CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 87-225 RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF 1987 SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND SETTING HEARING DATE WHEREAS , contracts have been let for the following listed improvements and the total project cost, including expenses incurred , or to be incurred and the City' s share , exclusive of that assignable to City Property, are Estab- lished as shown on the attached Exhibit A. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE: 1 . The cost of such improvements to be specially assessed are hereby declared to be those as set forth in Exhibit A. 2. The City Clerk with the assistance of the City Engineer shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be assessed for each improvement against every assessable lot , piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation , as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the Deputy Clerk for public inspection . 3. A hearing shall be held on the 1st day of September, 1987 , in the Eden Prairie City Hall , 7600 Executive Drive , at 7 :30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessments and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessments. 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessments to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hear- ing. He shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of record of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing.
