HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 83-194 - Declaring Costs to be Assessed, Ordering Preparation of 1983 Special Assessments, and Setting Hearing Date - 08/16/1983 August 16, 1983 CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 83-194 RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF 1983 SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND SETTING HEARING DATE WHEREAS, contracts have been let for the following listed improvements and the total project cost, including expenses incurred, or to be incurred and the City 's share, exclusive of that assignable to City property, are established as shown on the attached Exhibit A. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE: 1 . The cost of such improvements to be specially assessed are herebv declared to be those as set forth in Exhibit A . 2. The City Clerk with the assistance of the City Engineer shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be assessed for each improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and he shall file. a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the Deputy City Clerk for public inspection . 3 . A hearing shall be held on the 20 day of September, 1983, in the City Hall at 7: 30 P.M. to pass upon such proposed assessments and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessments . 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessments to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing . He shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of record of each parcel described in the assessment roll riot less than two weeks prior to the hearing.
