HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 1176 - Declaring Costs to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation of 1976 Assessment Rolls and Setting Hearing Date - 08/10/1976 CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 1176 RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF 1976 SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND SETTING HEARING DATE WHEREAS, contracts have been let for the following listed improve- ments and the total project cost, including expenses incurred or to be incurred and the City's share, exclusive of that assignable to City property, are established as follows: AMOUNT TOTAL CITY TO BE PROJECT COST ($) FUNDS ($) ASSESSED ($) (See attached Exhibit A) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF- THE CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE: 1. The cost of such improvements to be specially assessed are hereby declared to be those as set forth above. 2. The City Clerk with the assistance of the City Engineer shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be assessed for each improvement against every assessable lot, • piece or parcel of land within the district affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and he "shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public inspection. 3. A hearing shall be held on the 14th day of September, 1976, in the City-Hall:--at-7:3fJ-P-.M to-pass upon--such--proposed- assessments at at such time and place-all persons owning prop- erty affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessments. 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessments to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing. He shall also cause mailed notice to -be given to the owner of record of each parcel described-in the assessment roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearing.
