FROM CO. ROAD 4 TO WOODLAND ROAD (STR 75-3-17) BE IT RESOLVED by the Eden Prairie City Council that the upgrading of Townline Road (W. 62nd St.) from Co. Road 4 to Woodland Rd. , as proposed by Hennepin County and described in the attached County letter dated Feb. 2. 1976, from J. M. Kirtland, Chief of the Maintenance Section, is herein accepted and approved. ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Eden Prairie on L wcrlf-ganLfi Ho Penzel, Mayor ATTEST: SEAL z 94"- J D. - rane, Clerk Public Works Phone 935-3381 320 Washington Av. South, Hopkins, Minnesota 55343 HeNNePIN COUNTY 2 February 1976 Mr. Carl Jullie Eden Prairie City Engineer 8950 Eden Prairie Road Eden Prairie, MN 55343 Dear Mr. Jullie: In response to a concern expressed by the City of Eden Prairie for some type of dust control along Townline Road in the area immediately west of CSAH 4, a meeting was held in my office December 15, 1975 with representatives of the cities of Eden Prairie and Minnetonka present. • After reviewing several alternatives the County proposed the following: Along that portion of Townline Road between CSAH 4 and Woodland Road, the county would grade and reshape the existing street including a revision at the intersection of CSAH 4 to eliminate the steep incline in the area of the stop sign and place a 211x22' paver laid bituminous surface. The cities of Minnetonka and Eden Prairie would continue to perform, as they have in the past, all routine maintenance on Townline Road between CSAH 4 and TH 101 until the roadway is reconstructed. This proposal will not only alleviate the dust problem but will provide a surfaced roadway for the convenience of residents of both cities living in that area. Our 1976 paving program has been adjusted to accommodate this project and upon re- ceiving a resolution of agreement from both city councils we will finalize the plans. It is anticipated, if approvals are received, this project will be completed by mid- June 1976. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. V y truly yours, J. M.
