HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 934 - Ordering Improvements and Approval Plans for Bids Under I.C. 51-269 - 01/14/1975 January 14, 1975 CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 934 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ON PROJECT MIS 74-9-14 UNDER I.C. 51-269 WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the loth day of December, 1974, fixed the 14th day of January, 1975, as the date for a public hearing on the following proposed improvements: Project MIS 74-9-14 , Sanitary sewer and watermain improvements on Center Drive, north of North Hillcrest Court; and WHEREAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be assessed for the making of this improvement were given ten days published notice of the Council hearing through two weekly publications of the re- quired notice and the hearing was held and propt�rty owners heard on the 14th day of January, 1975; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Council Resolution No. 922, the City a F.ngi_naer, through Rieke, Carroll , Muller and Assoc. , has prepared plans and specifications for such improvements and has presented them for approval by the City Council, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDFN PRAIRIE: 1. Such improvements as set out in Council Resolution of December 10, 1.974, and as above indicated are hereby ordered. 2. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved, and the City Engineer shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The Adver- tisement shall be published as required by law, shall spec- ify the work to be done, shall state that bids shall be Resolution No. 934 Page 2 opened at 10 : 00 o'clock A.M. on Friday, February 7 , 1975, and considered by the Council at 7 :30 o' clock P.M. on Tuesday, February 11 , 1975, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall , and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier' s check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for not less than 5% (percent) of the amount of such bid.
