RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT
AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR PHASE I OF
RING ROAD PROJECT STR 72-9-26
WHEREAS, a resolution of the Village Council adopted the 26th day of
June, 1973, fixed the llth day of July, 1973 as the date for a public hearing on the
following proposed improvement:
Construction of the Major Center Area Ring Road , including
grading, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, surfacing,
lighting, signals , landscaping, turf establishment, bridges ,
ramps , underpass , storm sewer facilities, miscellaneous
sanitary sewer and watermain extensions and appurtenant
construction. Project STR 72-9-26.
WHEREAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be assessed
for the making of this improvement were given ten days ' published notice of the Council
hearing through two weekly publications of the required notice and the hearing was held
and property owners heard on the 11th day of July, 1973.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF EDEN PRAIRIE:
1 . Such improvement as set out in Council Resolution of
j June 26, 1973 and as above indicated is hereby ordered.
2. The Village Engineer with the assistance of Howard
Needles Tammen and Bergendoff, Consulting Engineers,
is hereby authorized and directed to prepare plans
and specifications for Phase I of said improvement.
Phase I shall include the following construction and
appurtenant work on the southerly portion of the Ring
Road from U.S. 212-169 on the East to new Valley View
Road extended through the Edenvale PUD on the West:
A. Four-lane, divided, urban roadway, with full-depth
asphalt design per standard Minnesota Highway
Department specification .
B. Underpass structure and access ramps FA1 494 per
design standards of the Federal Bureau of Roads
as they may apply.
C. Signalization at T.H. 5, 169 and 494 ramps.
D. Sanitary sewer, storm sewer, watermain and turf
establishment as required.
ADOPTED by the Village Council on July 11 973. ,!
