BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL of the Village of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, as follows : Trunk Highway No. 212 within the corporate limits of the Village of Eden ^rairie -is hereby designated as a route for rear loading refuse compactor collection vehicles for the purpose of implementing the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 1969, Chapter 159, Section 1 ".831 as amended by the 1971 Minnesota Legislature. T;he weight limitation of 18,000 pounds on a single axle, 32,000 pounds on a tandem axle, and 73,2801 pounds on all axles, as provided in section 169.83 subdivisions 1 and 2, do not apply to a rear loading refuse compactor collection vehicle used solely for transporting solid waste on streets and ihighways designated for such transportation by the board of county commissioners of any county or the governing body of any city, village or borough in which the street or highway -is located. The gross weight on a compactor collection vehicle transporting solid waste on such designated streets and highways shall not exceed 22,000 pounds on a single axle, 40,000 pounds on both axles, 43,000 pounds on a tandem axle and 50,000 on three axles. This provision shall not apply on interstate highways where prohibited by federal law. This section shall expire on July 1 , 1973.
