OSTERHOLT WHEREAS , David W. Osterholt has served the people of the Village of Eden Prairie as their Mayor since January 2 , 1966; and WHEREAS , during his six year term as Mayor, David W. Osterholt has exhibited positive and creative leadership in government reorganization, community planning , parkland acquisition and in providing the facilities and services needed to serve a growing municipality; and WHEREAS, David W. Osterholt has constantly sought to involve the citizens of the Village in the affairs of their local government; and WHEREAS, the voters of the Village have shown their respect and admiration of his service by electing David W. Osterholt to the office of Mayor for three consecutive terms; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village Council of the Village of Eden Prairie, Minnesota express, on behalf of the entire community, its sincere gratitude for David W. Osterholt' s excellent service as Mayor and its best wishes for whatever new public service endeavors he may undertake . Adopted the 28th day of December, 1971 .
