HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION NO. 459
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXCHANGE OF LP.ND
WHEREAS , the Village of Eden Prairie is the owner of
certain real estate legally described as follows :
That part of Section 16 , Township 116 , Range 22 ,
commencing at a point on the south line of the
Southwest Quarter (SWQ) of the Northeast Quarter
(NEQ) distant 1000 feet East from the Southwest
corner thereof, thence North parallel with the
West line thereof 640 feet thence Northeasterly
to a point in the East line of said Southwest
Quarter (SWQ) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 4) 680
feet North from the Southeast corner thereof,
then South to said Southeast corner , thence West
to beginning except road , and
WHEREAS , the Eden Prairie United Methodist Church is the
owner of the following described property:
That part of Southeast Quarter (SE4) of Northwest
Quarter (NWQ) lying Westerly of Purgatory Creek
and that part of Southwest Quarter (SA) of North-
west Quarter (NW4) lying North of South 600 feet
thereof except road , Section. 16, Township 116 ,
Range 22 , and
` WHEREAS , the Eden Prairie United Methodist Church is the
owner of land lying immediately adjacent to and West of the above-
described property owned by the Village of Eden Prairie, and
WHEREAS , said church is desirous of acquiring the said
property owned by the Village of Eden Prairie to enlarge its church
site, and
WHEREAS , the church property heretofore described is in
the plans of the Village of Eden Prairie for acquisition as a
flood plan, and
WHEREAS , the Village of Eden Prairie has had both prop-
erties appraised , and
WHEREAS , the appraisals , copies of which are attached
hereto and made a part hereof , marked Exhibits "A" and "B" , show
the value of each of the properties to be the sarne,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED :
1. That the Village of Eden Prairie convey to the Eden
Prairie United Methodist Church the following described property:
That part of Section 16 , Township 116 , Range 22 ,
commencing at a point on the South line of the
Southwest Quarter (SW4) of the Northeast Quarter
(NE4) distant 1000 feet East from the Southwest
corner_ thereof, thence North parallel with the
West line thereof 640 feet thence Northeasterly
to a point in the East line of said Southwest
Quarter (SW4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) 680
feet North from the Southeast corner thereof ,
then South to said Southeast corner, thence West
to beginning except road, and
Subject to the restriction that said property be used for
religious or church related purposes .
2 . That said deed be delivered to the church upon receipt
by the VILLAGE of a deed to the Village of Eden Prairie of the
following described property:
That part of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Northwest Quarter
(NW 1/4) , Section 9, Township 116, Range 22, lying North of the South
six hundred (600) feet thereof, and that pert of the Southeast Quarter
(SE 1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) , Section 9, Township 116,
Range 22, lying West of Purgatory Creek, EXCEPT the South four hundred
(400) feet of the West six hundred (600) feet thereof, of said Southeast
Quarter (SE 1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) .
3 . Contemporaneous with the exchange of the deeds , the

parties execute the attached Agreement marked Exhibit "C " .
ADOPTED by the Village Council of the Village of Eden
Prairie this 26 day of October 1971 .
