HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 216 - Favoring Establishment of Police - School Liaison Program - 06/11/1968 PILLAGE OF EDEN PRAIRIE HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 216 A RESOLUTION FAVORING ESTABLISHMENT OF POLICE-SCHOOL LIAISON PROGRAM. WHEREAS, it has been shown that a cooperative effort by and between the municipal Police Department and School District has reduced many of the problems with juveniles which both agencies have in common, and WHEREAS, it would be in the public interest for the municipalities within Minnetonka School District No. 276 to cooperate in the formation of a Police-School Liaison Program, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF EDEN PRAIRIE, • I . That the Eden Prairie Village Council favors the establishment of a Police-School Liaison Program within Minnetonka School District No. 276 prior to the beginning of the 1968-69 School Year. 2. That the Eden Prairie Village Council urges the Minnetonka School Board to ppprove its establishment. 3. That the costs of said program be borne on a per capita basis of the population of the School District located within each Village served by said District.
