RESOLUTION NO. 214
A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE SEWER SYSTEM -
EDINA CONNECTION (Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 1)
The Village Clerk and engineer reported that they had on the 23rd
day of January ,1968, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., received and opened
bids for the construction of Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 1. The engineer
stated that he had checked the bids as to compliance with the advertisement
for bids and the plans and specifications, and had prepared a tabulation
of the bids deemed to comply with said documents, as follows:

After due consideration of the foregoing bids, Councilmen Warren Shultz
introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Eden Prairie,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. It is hereby found and determined and declared that the lowest
responsible bidders for the work and materials necessary for the construc-
tion of the Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 1 of the Village are Orfei &
Sons, Inc., of St. Paul, whose bid for the construction of the portion of
said improvement is in the total base amount of $59,273.49; that said bids
are in all respects in accordance with law and with the published advertise-
ment for bids and with the plans and specifications heretofore approved by
the Council and now on file in the offices of the Village Clerk and Engineer;
and that the consulting engineer has recommended that said bids be accepted
and said bids are hereby accepted.

2. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to make and
execute a contract on behalf of the Village with each of said bidders in accord-
ance with the terms of his bid, when such bidder shall have furnished a contrac-
tor's bond in the amount of the bid, conditioned as required by law.
3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to retain the
certified check or bid bond furnished by each of said bidders until the
execution and filing of his contract and bond in the office of the Village
Clerk, and to return the certified checks and bid bonds furnished by the
other bidders.
ADOPTED by the Village Council of the Village of Eden Prairie at a
regular meeting thereof held this 27th day of February ,1968.
