HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 196 - Requesting Funds From State of Minnesota Land and Water Conservation Fund - 03/12/1968 VILLAGE OF EDEN PRAIRIE HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 196 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING FUNDS FROM THE STATE OF MINNESOTA LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND. WHEREAS, the Village of Eden Prairie is a village located in the Southwesterly portion of the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, consisting of approximately 36 square miles of area, and WHEREAS, there are within said village many areas suitable for development as and for parks and recreation areas, and WHEREAS, unless immediate steps are taken to acquire such areas they will inevitably be lost through development, and WHEREAS, the Village of Eden Prairie is presently updating its comprehensive plan for the Village, which plan will include a comprehensive plan for parks and open space, and WHEREAS, the village is concerned about losing forever those spaces particularly desirable for use by the public, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Eden Prairie as follows: I . That the Council request the State of Minnesota for such funds as might be available to enable it in the development of the aforementioned park plan. 2. That the Village accepts the terms of and authorizes the Clerk of the Village to sign OR Form 7-9/67 policy statement regarding electric utility lines. 3. That the Village does hereby agree to comply with any Federal regulations regarding the use of such moneys that might be received from the Federal Government. 4. That Donald G. Brauer of Brauer & Associates, Inc. is hereby designated the individual having the responsibility for general supervision of the proposed projects.
