the legal description of the Kutcher property and should have
their appraisal ready in three weeks.
Kings Forest land Harry Picha reported that the School Board is interested in
ten acres in this area, and •Chat if twenty acres were purchased.
a better price per acre could be obtained. There is gravel on
the land which the village could use to help pay for its share
of the acreage. If the School Board used the north ten acre s
for school, and the village the south ten acres, this would
fit the pattern of adjacent school and park areas that Bloomink-
ton has followed very satisfactorily.

Commission recommend that the Village of Eden Prairie enter
into an agreement with the Eden Prairie School Board on a
purchase of the Sewall property. Carried.
Platting Ordinance Dave Osterholt reported on the Council action on the Platting
Ordinance, at their last meeting. He reported that the Ordinance
was passed; that Section 11.1 on Public Sites and Open Lands
sets the figure at 5% of the land area and 15% of the full and
true value for the money donation for Park and Recreation pur-
poses on plats. Section 11.2 referring to the area to be set
aside as a drainage way, sets the figure at 100 feet on either
side of the center line and gives credit for the land taken in
this manner as part of the 5% donation required in Section 11.1.
Starring Lake The County is in contact with Village Clerk James Brown re:
development of the lake.
Summer Recreation Bill Holte said he would continue as Summer Recreation Director.
He indicated that Nancy Carling would also continue as an assis-
tant, but that his second assistant was yet to be arranged.
Dave Osterholt said equipment could be stored in a room in the
Village Hall. Last summer's Schedule and program were discussed,
with the consensus that this years pattern would be somewhat the
same. The Jaycees plan to sponsor a golf tournament and track
i meet, according to Ade Meyers. He will inquire about horseshoe
and a slow pitch league, also.
