Anderson, Frances Blacklock
Note: 'There was no meeting held in August for lack of a quorum.
Minutes M/Merriman, S/Blacklock that the minutes be approved as read..
Carried.
Greg Redpath M/Blacklock, S/Merriman that the Park and Recreation Commission
Property recommends that this property be reserved for future park land.
A future park on this location comprised of some play and some
park areas would be of benefit to Paradise Valley, Birch
Island Road and some portions of Eden View I and II. Adjacent
lands might be used in a similar way to tie in with it.
Motion carried. (Hearing File /k12 of the Planning and
Zoning Commission)
Platting Ordinance The special meeting of the Council. set for July 16 was not
held for lack of a quorum. Park and Recreation members wish
-to attend the next Platting Ordinance meeting to discuss
Section 11.1. on Public Sites and Open Lands and Section 11.2
on Drainage !,Tays of the proposed zordng ordinance.
Summer Recreation, Bill Hol'te, Summer recreation Director, will be asked to
Equipment attend the October 3 meeting to report on the past summerts
recreation program and to make recommendations for next year
and equipment which he feels the village program needs.
Eden View II land The secretary was instructed to write to a representative of
the home owners in Eden View II who are interested in a ball
field - ply area in their neighborhood. The land which was
investigated is too high-priced for the funds available, but
the Commission will continue to soek an answer 'to the area's
needs.
Park Planning M/Morriman, S/Anderson that if the Village Council does not
adopt a comprehensive planning program, the Parkand Recreation
Commission requests that $3,000 be put into the Park and
Recreation budget for 1967 to develop a park plan. Carried.

At the September 12 Wresting of the Park and Recreation
Commission the following motion was moved by Frances Bladdook,
seconded tV Howard Merriman and carriedt
The Park and Recreation Commission recammends that
this property be reserved for future park land.
A future park at Ole locations comprised of some play and
sane park areas. would be of benefit to Paradise Valley,
Birch Island Road and sans portions of Eden View I and IT.
Adjacent lands might be used its a similar way to tie in with it..

The following motion was moved, seconded and carried at
the September 12 meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission:
If the Village Council does not adopt a comprehensive planning
rogramo the Park and Recreation Cammission 'requests that
3,000 be put into the Park and Recreation budget for 1967
to develop a park plan. . . .
