EDEN PRAIRIE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
Monday, December 11, 1972 , 7:30 P.M., Village Fail
Members present: Chairman-Pauly, Miller, Hirt, Wedlund, Choiniere
I. VARIANCE REQUESTS
Case # 1. David-Ellin son. 17830 Evenston Drive.
rl�. Ellingson presented is request or three Toot variance on a side
lot setback_. Mr. Ellingson wanted to build a garage seven feet from
the lot tine. He explained that he was given the impression from
talking to a person at the village hall, that he would probably have
rr pro#�1 -in getttng-a variance in this situation:
Mr. Ellingson hired a contractor to start the -foundation work to pour
footing_amd__foandation to grade. The conteactor.proceeded but did not
take a permit or call for inspection.
The board considered the situation and all voted in favor of granting
the variance except Paul Choiniere who voted against granting it.
Case # 2. Robert W. Jacobs. 68T7 Normandale Road
r. Jacobs requested a five foot side yard variance on a proposed house
on Tract A R.L.S. 1120 (6527 Kurtz Lane). Mr. Jacobs only reason was that
he wanted to build a house of this length.
Air. Jacobs did not attend this meeting but was contacted by telephone
during the meeting.
Mr. Anthony Hirt abstained from voting. All other members of the board
voted against granting the variance.
