HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 44-86 - Amending Chapter 7 - 08/05/1986 ORDINANCE NO. -_` - -`Q--- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE, MINNESOTA, AMENDING CITY CODE CHAPTER 7 BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION 7 . 08 , WHICH PROHIBITS MOTOR VEHICLES FROM USING PRIVATE PROPERTY TO AVOID TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNALS AND DEVICES. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDEN PRAIRIE, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS : Section 1. City Cade Chapter 7 shall be and is amended by adding a new Section 7 .08 which reads as follows: Section 7 . 08 . Use of Private Property to Avoid Traffic y Signals and Devices. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle on or across private property for the purpose of avoiding a traffic control signal or an official traffic control device. The definitions of "traffic control signal" and "official traffic control device" that are found in Minn. Stat. 5169 . 01 as amended through Laws 1984 , are hereby incorporated herein and adopted by reference . i. Section 2. City Code Chapter 1, entitled "General Provisions and Definitions Applicable to the Entire City Code Including Penalty for Violation, " and Section 7 _ 99 are hereby adopted in their entirety by reference, as though repeated verbatim herein. Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage and publication.
