ORDINANCE NO. 108
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF DOGS AND
PROHIBITING DOGS FROM RUNN 1 Nr AT LARGE IN PORTIONS OF
THE VILLAGE, AUTHORIZING THE IMPOUNDING AND DESTRUCTION

The Council of the Village of Eden Prairie ordains:
Section I . Section 4 of Ordinance No. 106 is hereby amended by
adding thereto a new and additional paragraph lettered "A" which shall read
as follows:
"A. No person except the owner, or authorized agent, may remove
a collar from a dog in the Village of Eden Prairie, except
under such circumstances where it is necessary to free a
dog from an entanglement which threatens his health and
life, or by a licensed veterinarian to whom the dog has
i been brought for care and treatment. Any person removing
* a collar from a dog, except a veterinarian, shall imme-
diately notify the owner, and if the ownerts name is not '
on the tag attached tq+he collar, men the V i I loge Clerk

if a license tag is attached to the collar."

Section 2. Section 16 of said Ordinance is hereby amended by
deleting the phraseology contained therein and substituting the following:
"Section 16. Violation. Any person violating the provisions
of this Ordinance shall upon conviction thereof be subject to a
fine not to exceed the sum of $100 or in the alternative, imprisonment
not to exceed 90 days." {

serve the City of Hopkins and Villages of Minnetonka and Eden Prairie in the County of
Hennepin and it has its known office of issue in the City of Hopkins In said county, established
and.open during its regular business hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertisements

and sale of subscriptions and maintained by the publisher of said newspaper and subject to
his direction and control during all such regular business hours and at which said newspaper is b
printed. (6) Said newspaper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical
